Ученый Совет<p>The Scientific Council of the Institute, consisting of 35 members was elected by the Conference of the research workers of Institute on May 22, 2007, confirmed by the decision of the Presidium of the SB RAS from June 14, 2007, no. 191. Partial changes were made at the Conference of research workers of the Institute on August 6, 2010, approved by the Decree of the Presidium of the SB RAS from August 31, 2010, no. 265. On May 30, 2012 a Conference of scientists successfully elected the Academic Council for the next term of Office. Academic Council consists of 40 people (1-with the right of a deliberative vote) and was approved by decision of the Presidium of the SB RAS from 14 June 2012 No. 225. The Academic Council is governed by the statutes and changes to it.</p><p>The Scientific Council shall consider and determine the main directions of scientific activity of the Institute, forms the scientific programs and projects, as well as discusses the results of the activities of the Institute and its constituent units., consider and solve the issues of a uniform scientific-technical policy, gives suggestions and advice on personnel matters, on the restructuring and the Statute of the Institute.</p><p>In accordance with the basic scientific directions of the Institute Academic Council until June 20, 2012 year consisted of two sections on the four divisions that are generated from laboratories by fields of research: geological-Division of oil and gas geology, stratigraphy and sedimentology; geophysical-Division of geophysics, geophysical and geochemical instrumentation. Geological and geophysical sections of the Council were elected by the Institute's scientists on May 22, 2007, approved at the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute from June 8, 2007, Protocol No. 7. Academic conferences of IPGG SB RAS on June 20, 2012  selected and approved the new composition of the geological section, changed the name of the geophysical sectiont to the section of Geophysics and Geodynamics and Instrumentation, approved the list of members of this section. Meetings of the sections of the Academic Council deals with current issues, research and development scientific and organizational activities of the relevant divisions.</p>Ученый СоветScientific Council
