The role of the Paleoasian ocean in the initial stages of the Central Asia fold belt evolution in many respects was determinative. For clearing up of paleogeodynamics of the Paleoasian ocean the comparative analysis with data on modern oceanic regions is optimal. Paleosituations of the open ocean and subduction zone are reconstructed for the Chagan-Uzun ophiolites (Altai Mountains). Rocks from the dyke series correspond to mid-oceanic ridge basalts. Magmatic processes continued also on the early stages of the island arc development. The high temperature peridotites (up to 1400 oC) and melage with eclogites marked the paleosubduction zone. The Kurai ophiolites (Altai Mountains) are the representatives of primitive island arc. The dyke rocks are similar to the boninites from the island arcs of the Pacific. Compositions of spinels and pyroxenes well correspond to the data on minerals from the Pacific boninites. Melt inclusions (homogenization temperatures 1160-1230 oC) demonstrate, that the studied rocks were crystallized from "boninite" melts with low TiO2 contents and high concentrations of MgO and SiO2. The Kuznetski Alatau ophiolites were partly formed in the developed island arc. The dyke rocks also carry features of basalts from the spreading back-arc centers. The melt inclusions (1120-1230 oC) have compositions of calc-alkaline rocks. Presence of potassic-sodium subalkaline rocks means the beginning of back-arc basin forming. Situation of the developed island arc is characteristic for forming of magmatic complexes on the north coast of the Teletskoye lake (Altai Mountains). The compositions of dyke rocks and melt inclusions (1190-1230 oC) testify to their accessory to the shoshonites. Magmatism of back-arc basin is characteristic for the Kaakhem ophiolites (East Tuva). Presence of the enriched basalts of back-arc basins, established for the Woodlark basin testifies, that this ophiolites formed during spreading processes of subcontinental lithosphere destruction. In the Katun and Kurai accretion prisms (Altai Mountains) the siliceous-carbonate-terrigenous formations and pillow lavas of Cambrian paleoseamounts are distinguished. As a whole, realized studies testify that the geodynamic processes of development of the Paleoasian and Pacific oceans are similar in many aspects.
