This paper presents a detailed study of Multiaxial Perfectly Matched Layer which was designed to overcome PML s instability caused by anisotropy. We prove that the higher tangential damping is the stronger the artificial reflections are. On the base of this research was proposed the algorithm to construct stabilization parameter in nearly optimal way.
