The results of GPS-investigations of Gornyi Altai motions beginning from 2000, accounting Chuya earthquake, are given. The analysis includes isolation of effects precursory to the earthquake, construction of displacement field after the earthquake and its correlation with elastic recoil mechanism. It is concluded that Chuya earthquake had exhausted seismic potential accumulated in the considered region, this being not concerning its eastern periphery and western part of the mountain system.
