Abstract
The continental beds of the Neogene of West Siberia have been divided into six chronostratigraphic horizons on the basis of their fauna, flora, and particularly palynomorph assemblages. Paleomagnetic studies of cores from specially drilled holes indicate a reversal history that confirms and to some extent modifies correlations with the standard sections of the Mediterranean region
