A report on the influence of microplasticity on the static and dynamic elastic moduli of rocks was presented. It was shown that the difference in the values of static and dynamic elastic moduli of rocks was governed by viscoelastic and microplastic mechanisms of deformation. The stresses did not exceed the proportionality limit. For the correct comparison of the static and dynamic moduli, the conditions commensurable with respect to energy and deformation rate were required.
