Abstract
The paper presents the results of numerical modeling of the formation and development of strike-slip fault structures. We performed 3D modeling; the system of equations describing the dynamics of the elastic brittle-plastic medium is solved with the Drucker-Prager yield surface and nonassociated flow rule. Flower structures are obtained at faults, in which deformation localization zones have a complex helicoidal form. Conditions for the formation of positive and negative structures are analyzed. It is shown that a structure type is determined by a horizontal stress value related to tectonic forces.
