Abstract

The paper presents numerical simulation results on the formation of inelastic strain zones around wells in porous rocks. Strain localization patterns that are most typical of dilatancy and compaction are described. The influence of the stress-strain state and pore pressure on the patterns of irreversible deformation in well drilling is analyzed. In the calculations, a specially developed model of inelastic deformation and fracture of rocks is used.
