Abstract
The model of compressible fluid flow in elastic porous media is derived on the basis of thermodynamically compatible system theory. Governing equations of the model are hyperbolic and all equations can be cast in a conservation form. The system of equations for small amplitude wave propagation in the unstressed immovable medium is derived and some numerical test problems for the one-dimensional wave propagation are presented
