Abstract
We propose an approach to quantitative evaluation of the structure of velocity level systems within the framework of the inverse kinematic problem of seismics. We present constructive methods for studying multidimensional inverse kinematic problems of seismics and describe local and integral criteria for the horizontal homogeneity of a medium.
