Аннотация

The purpose of the research was to develop an algorithm for a comprehensive assessment of the sustainable development of a mining enterprise based on an integral indicator from the standpoint of environmental performance and test it on the example of the largest Russian coal and energy company SUEK. In modern conditions the Russian energy sector is in a state of transformation, which is associated with the strengthening of globalization processes, tougher competitiveness and management of production systems. Moreover, environmental regulations become more strict especially for high in pollutions mining and energy industries following the global trend of green policy. The proposed algorithm of the evaluation of the development sustainability of the company includes following stages: (1) factor analysis as tool for choosing the set of specific indicators, which are aggregated into three main groups representing economic, social and environmental sustainability; (2) calculation of the group indicators (3) calculation of the integrated indicator via geometric mean (4) evaluation of the sustainability based on the proposed five level system. The algorithm was tested for the company SUEK based on the data for 2015-2019 and revealed positive dynamics with changes in levels from unsustainable to moderate sustainability which supports the increased efforts of the company in the environmental protection. The versatility of the algorithm makes possible its application for various companies in mining industries.
