Аннотация

Researches of iron sources in underground water on an example of the Tomsk water supply exploited for about 30 years are carried out. The range of Fe contents in the water composition of this water field is from 2 up to 10 mg/L, some times up to 15 mg/L. The major source is proved to be minerals of water-bearing rocks, mainly aluminosilicates of pyroxenes' and hornblendes' groups. All terrigeneous rocks of this multi-layers artesian system contain these minerals. The mechanism of ferriferous fresh non-sulfate waters' forming is a solution of aluminosilicates of water-bearing deposits, and simultaneous forming of secondary phase with continuous concentration of compounds, which are movable in this geochemical medium. The top level of Fe's concentration in water is controlled by siderite, montmorillonites and illites, which precipitate Fe from the solution at the reaching to the limit of saturation.
