Аннотация
Size distribution of oil and gas fields within an arbitrary petroleum basin shows a naturally determined character and is approximated by the truncated Pareto distribution. Definite expressions are given for assessing the number and total resources of fields with any preset limits by magnitude of resources. The application of the method of simulational mathematical modeling is described for assessing the resource structure of a petroleum basin.
