In Baikal region, Mesozoic depressions are widely noted. Their formation was accompanied by active volcanism. So far, nature of the volcanism is not totally clear. In connection with this, paleomagnetic investigations of Chikoi-Khilokskaya depression have been performed, Chikoi-Khilokskaya depression is one of the largest Mesozoic structures of Baikal region. Active volcanic processes occurred in range since 122 till 113 million years. Paleomagnetic analysis has been performed with the use of equipment of Paleomagnetic Center of Siberian Division of Russian Academy of Sciences and of Paleomagnetic Laboratory of California University. Results of the investigations have led to determination of paleomagnetic pole.
