The authors explore the geothermal field of the basic mined beds of Samotlor deposit in conditions of the existing long-term waterflooding system. They demonstrate that the injected fluid serves as a carrier of thermal agitation. Thermal change of reservoir rocks can cause non-reversible deformation processes.
