Petrographic description of intrusions developed in the area of the Insk iron ore deposit in Mountain Altai is given in the paper. Particular attention is given to deeply metamorphosed gabbro rocks. Age correlation of intrusive rocks with skarns and magnetite ores is considered. On the basis of analysis of geologic material a conclusion is drawn upon genetic relationship between iron Ore deposits and gabbroid magma
