Аннотация

Paleomagnetic characteristics of Abrosimovo regional horizon (the Lower Miocene) of Tara-Irtysh region have been obtained and the magnetostratigraphic section of the horizon has been constructed. The reliability of the obtained paleomagnetic data was assessed by means of the component analysis of the natural remanent magnetization. Also, the magnetization carriers have been determined, and the characteristic magnetization has been identified. The paleomagnetic section, characterized by floral complexes of three age levels, includes three large magnetic zones of normal and reversed polarity. Correlative scheme and composite magnetostratigraphic section of Abrosimovo Horizon have been created on the basis of the integration of composite paleomagnetic sections from three sedimentation basins of West Siberia - Omsk and Tara-Irtysh regions, and Ob-Irtysh interfluvial area. Determined magnetic zones correspond to the chrones C6B - C6A (partly to C6) according to Berggren (epochs 22 - 20 by Oda and Berggren) in the time interval of ca. 23,4-20,5 Ma. The rates of sedimentation in the Early Miocene (epochs 22-20) in West Siberia are estimated as ca. 15-20 m per million years.
