Ordovician-Middle Devonian structural stage composed of homogeneous carbonate-terrigene formation has been separated in northern Gorny Altai. Its rock series are of common occurence of similar thickness, dislocated to convergent folds containing no large dislocations and breaks. Facial homogeneity of the rocks, their formational belongment, small thickness and velocity of sedimentation ranging between 30 and 70 m. y. permit one to suggest the subplatformean evolution of the north of Gorni Altai during the Early-Middle Paleozoic time
