Аннотация

Based on the analysis of geochemical data on the composition of biomarker molecules in the bitumoids of the rocks and naphthides, genetic relationships were determined between the hydrocarbons accumulations of different ages and the organic matter of the deposits of the Upper Paleozoic-Mesozoic complex of the Vilyui syneclise. It was shown that coal-bearing deposits of the Upper Permian enriched in organic matter with a high yield of bitumoids were able generating as gaseous as liquid hydrocarbons of oil raw. Features of composition of generated hydrocarbons were determined by the specifics of terragenous organic matter of the Upper Permian stratum as the main generating strata for gas-condensate pools. New data on the geochemistry of oil shows in the Lower Paleozoic deposits (the Tankhai Formation of the Middle Cambrian) showed that predicted oil resources could also be the Domanicoid Cambrian deposits, highly enriched in marine organic matter, capable of generating oils of a different genetic type. This may indicate a presence of oil pools in the Cambrian deposits, the genesis of which is associated with aquatic organic matter. The results can be used in assessing of oil and gas generation potential and forward estimate prospects for oil- and gas-bearing capacity strata.
