Аннотация

The paper presents an approach to characterize fractured zones by seismic data. It combines diffraction imaging, analysis of scattering indicatrix, and topological analysis of diffraction images. The scattering indicatrix attributes comply with the topological analysis of diffraction images. The scattering indicatrix attributes result from the diffracted wave behavior in 3D media. The topological analysis is the 3D image processing algorithm. The testing results for realistic synthetic models and real seismic data demonstrate the possibility of the fractured zones' characterization approach.
