Аннотация

We present a workflow to estimate a subsurface velocity model from challenging seismic data based on automatic 3D reflection tomography using coherent events in post-stack and pre-stack domains. The kernel of the method is based on hyperbolic approximation of traveltimes using pre-stack data enhanced by nonlinear beamforming. This provides a computationally efficient and robust approach for reconstruction of a velocity model early in the time-processing phase enabling iterative processing critical for low signal-to-noise ratio land data. We present details of the tomographic workflow and real data examples showing the capabilities of the method.
