Аннотация

We propose the new numerical algorithm for evaluating elastic properties of the rock core samples by 3D CT digital images. This approach is based on the numerical simulation of a series of physical experiments by combination of the energy equivalence principle and the new iterative relaxation method. On this base, the effective compliance and stiffness tensors of a representative volume of a core sample is computed. The proposed method is verified using synthetic samples with specified properties.
