Аннотация

We present a direct method for computing seismic wavefields which is applicable to be used in frequency-domain FWI for both acoustic and elastic cases. These can be approximated with high order accuracy finite-difference schemes. The method is based on triangular factorization of the coefficient matrix of a system of linear equations. The advantages of the method are revealed for large numbers of seismic shots to be processed. A low rank approximation is used to lessen the memory consumption requirements. MPI parallelization is used to overcome memory and performance issues.
