Аннотация

The penetration of global atmospheric electric field existing near the Earth's surface to ionospheric altitudes is discussed with the help of the constructed theory based on the field vertical component distribution along the surface of the ideally conducting Earth. The consideration carried out by solving the corresponding Coushy-problem for the equation of field potential. The currents exciting in the ionosphere as a result of atmospheric electric field penetration are investigated. The estimations of the magnetic field caused by these currents are made also. It is supported that the universal variation of the atmospheric electric field can be responsible for analogous variations of the ionospheric parameters and the geomagnetic field. The developed algoritm allowed to select universal geomagnetic variation from the world network data. Numerical analysis have confirmed conclusions of our theory.
