Аннотация

Recently obtained results and a developed model of heat exchange in rotating helium have enabled us to refine the thermodynamic analysis of the rotor cooling scheme in a superconductive turbogenerator considering the processes that occur in the radial feed line and in the layer of liquid helium. It is shown that the presence of throttling of two-phase helium through a layer of liquid leads to considerable losses of liquid helium. Gaseous helium must be separated from liquid helium before supply to the cryostat zone. The design of the rotor in which separation of gaseous helium is provided is characterized by reduced losses.
