Europe is a major market for Russian crude oil and oil products. About 85% of crude and 85% of oil products exported from Russia are sold in the European countries, this accounts for about 43% of total export deliveries to the region. Taking account of the outlook for the growth of crude oil production, refining, and consumption in Russia and volumes of its deliveries to the Asia Pacific market, exports of crude oil to Europe may increase to 200 million in 2015 from 190 million t in 2005 and stabilize at this level. The total volume of crude and oil products exported from the Russian Federation to Europe may rise to 280 million t.
