Аннотация

Changes in the composition of the organic matter of brown coal upon mechanical treatment under conditions of elevated temperatures (80-200°C) were studied. The mechanical treatment of coal was performed on an AGO-2 mill in an atmosphere of argon. A VT8-2 thermostat was used to maintain a specified temperature in the course of the experiment. Based on an analysis of IR spectra, it was found that the composition of aliphatic hydrocarbons was changed in the course of mechanical treatment (regardless of temperature). The mechanical treatment of coal at 80-200°C was accompanied by the release of methane and ethane at 200°C. As the mechanical treatment temperature was increased to 160°C, the yield of chloroform bitumoid from coal increased. The noticeable degradation of hydrocarbons came into play starting with a mechanical treatment temperature of 200 °C.
