Analysis of the field data from electric prospecting and physical modeling shows an essential decrease in electrical resistivity of conductive formations, assisted by the activity of seismic sources. The paper presents a mathematical model and calculation results of possible changes of the rock electrical resistivity resulted from the changes in the pore space. It also describes modeled changes in the electrical resistivity caused by destruction of the double electric layer in pores of different sizes affected by a seismic impact. It has been shown that one can observe as reduction of the electrical resistance due to additional fluid conductivity caused by presence of complement mobile ions in the porous space, as the effects induced by polarization.
