On the south-east of West Siberia a major part of unexplored HC resources is concentrated in sandy reservoirs of Vasyugan suite, and the primary source of HC appears to be Bazhenov suite. The basic task which should be solved at the stage of oil and gas prospective objects discovery reduces to prognosis of rock-and-fluid system properties of sandy beds of Yu1 horizon and evaluation of generation potential of Bazhenov suite. The present work which was accomplished on the base of complex interpretation of seismic exploration materials, well-logging and deep drilling data presents analysis of geological structure and generation potential of Bazhenov suite (Volgian stage). Thus, analysis of geological structure of Volgian deposits allows to propose that differences of geological structure of Volgian deposits are associated not only with territory's confineness to different tectonic zones but also with different distance of areas from plate's framework. Within investigated territory the Bazhenov suite's deposits have been formed under non-uniform conditions and are characterized by different generation potential.
