Аннотация

The inversion of array magnetotelluric sounding (MTS) data for the three-dimensional medium using the simulation of the field and MTS curve distortions by Treffts's method is performed. In cases of medium excitation by vertically incident plane wave, the lateral field non-uniformities registered on a surface are of certainly internal origin. Therefore, for solution of the MTS forward problem it is possible to apply boundary conditions of attenuation of all spatial harmonics of the field up in the atmosphere and at great depths in the medium. Advantage of approach consists in use as input data for the solution of the inversion problem all standard MTS curves without any manipulations with them. By analogy with time samples, it is offered to locate points on a uniform grid which cells size determines the smallest scale of recovering the medium details by MT sounding. For optimization of medium model, it is possible to use the non-linear least-squares method including iterative process with computation of the sensitivity matrix and its singular expansion. Algorithm of MTS curve interpretation for the three-dimensional medium is applied for synthetic data.
