The conference is forth in a series of meetings previously held in Russia (Pereslavl-Zalessky – 2009, Uglich – 2011, Kaluga – 2013) and devoted to geophysical observations, data mining and geoinformatics.

The upcoming conference will focus on implementation of a Systems Analysis approach to the data analysis in order to detect the extreme conditions and events. Hazardous natural phenomena such as earthquakes, storms, volcanic eruptions, as well as some man-made hazards can be detected by different techniques routinely implying for monitoring the geophysical parameters.

As the size of remote sensing and Earth surface observations grow, the volume of the data has become overwhelming. This needs implementation of System Analysis embracing a sophisticated data analysis and holistic Earth science approach in order to get comprehensive information on the phenomena of different degrees of hazard and on the multi-scale extremes.

Following the Conference the participants will have an opportunity to publish their results in a special issue of the Russian Journal of Earth Sciences (http://rjes.wdcb.ru/).
